Weird problem with LimeWire....

Hi,

I have downloaded LimeWireOther.zip from here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content … free.shtml

After extraction, I get this dir. ~/LimeWire.

When go into ~/LimeWire and I type "sh runLimre.sh" it works fine. But if I want to start it from another dir, it failed. For example, if I'm in my home dir and I type sh ~/LimeWire/runLime.sh I get this error:

[eric@myhost ~]$ sh ~/LimeWire/runLime.sh
Unable to access jarfile LimeWire.jar

******************************************************************
Something went wrong with LimeWire.
Maybe you're using the wrong version of Java?
(LimeWire is tested against and works best with with Sun's JRE, Java 1.4+)

I'm using xfce-4 and I want to add limewire in my menu but does not work....

Thanks for your help!

Re: Weird problem with LimeWire....

possibly add the following line towards the top of the script:

export CLASSDIR=$CLASSDIR:/path/to/limewire

just an educated guess...

The suggestion box only accepts patches.

Re: Weird problem with LimeWire....

You could also grab limewire from punkrockguy's TUR:

[punkrockguy318]
Server = ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/tur/punkrockguy318

in your /etc/pacman.conf

then

pacman -Sy limewire

I installed it but it's the latest version (4.4).
