have you ever used ncurses music player CMUS?

I just saw cmus on the front page as being updated and gave it a whirl.

It's great.  I don't normally use ncurses stuff if I don't have to, but this is a really powerful, simple program.

pacman -S cmus

and read the docs:

/usr/share/cmus/doc/cmus.html

It's cool.

Re: have you ever used ncurses music player CMUS?

I've been searching for a really nice console player for
ion. So far I've tried, mp3blaster, cplay, cmus, mpd and
so far the best is moc.

http://moc.daper.net/

Great user interface with easy to follow and well commented config files.

One cool feature:

Need the console where MOC is running for more important things? Need to close the X terminal emulator? You don't have to stop playing - just press q and the interface will be detached leaving the server running. You can attach it later, or you can attach one interface in the console, and another in the X terminal emulator, no need to switch just to play another file.

MPD is perfect. I use GMPC in XFce and ncmpc in console.
