After the last update, it's not being read anymore - I can't toggle Yeahconsole, Xterm doesn't respond to various changes and my cursor reverted to the default. I googled, tried a couple of things, nothing seems to work. Any ideas? I'm running LXDE+Openbox.

What does your ~/.Xdefaults file look like?
Also, are you getting any error messages when you try to open xterm from an xterm window?

What did you update?

I haven't changed the way it looks, and it was working just fine yesterday. I get no errors when running Xterm/Yeahconsole from a terminal.

xrdb .Xdefaults ?

xrdb .Xdefaults ?
That's one of the things I tried. That and renaming it to .Xresources - neither worked.

So does either xCalc or xclock or xscreensaver have problems when you change a color or something?
What I'm trying to figure out, is if there's a problem with the ~/.Xdefaults file, or perhaps xterm is simply disregarding it, or maybe yeahconsole is.

Nope, nothing happens. Same thing with my cursor icon - I can put theme and size whatever, it doesn't change. That's why I think it's not reading the file....
Edit:
Noticed new stuff when I kill X.
http://tinypaste.com/87500 (yay for Screen, I have no idea how else would I get that)
Everything below the "Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server" line is new.
Furthermore, I tried disabling autostarting Conky - Yeahconsole responds, but obviously hasn't seen .Xdefaults (colors), and the rest of the stuff is unchanged.
Curious and curiouser.

Good news, I've fixed it
It seems LXDE was the culprit. Downgrading the three upgraded packages (common, session, appearance) restored the empire to a state of balance.

That's beautiful! May the Arch be with you.
