Just a guess..... , but i reckon maybe posting some of that debug output would give you more chance of getting some help.

Do you use stable or testing Amarok?
I use testing and it works...
But it seems like a d-bus problem and policy problem, like Amarok couldn't access D-Bus and thus network to get lyrics (Amarok 2 has automatic downloading of lyrics...)
You could also go to .KDE4 or .KDE and in share/config find amarokrc and edit:
[Lyricwiki]
LyricWikiEnabled=false
it should do the trick.
PS.: I've changed it to true and it still works it must be "local" problem...
