well I don't know where to start I have an INTEL 82801DB-ICH4 according to kmix. I have tryed changing my asoundrc but I can't get it to work. I have checked the wiki and am able to start gnome-alsamixer but I do not know how to set the gain. I have tryed twiddleing the bottom bar underneath pcm but this does nothing.
