[solved] CUPS dosen't recognize my EPSON BX300F......

Hi,
sorry for my bad english.

Cups work fine with my HP 5740, but dosen't recognize my EPSON BX200 and BX300F. For BX300F this is my output:

[tiziano@arch32 ~]$ lsusb | grep Ep
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 04b8:0848 Seiko Epson Corp. 

[tiziano@arch32 ~]$ lsmod | grep usb

CUPS recognize only HP. Why this problem? Thanks.

Do you have gutenprint installed? If not, you may want to try that.

guteprint is installed, but CUPS dosen't recognize the USB printer:

I just went to reinstall my USB printer and I came across the same situation as you. In my case there was only the SCSI option. Then I scrolled the page down and there was the rest of the options. You may want to check down below the current view.

Solved using hal-cups-utils.

Hal-cups-utils require usblp active anche permission 700 for hal and usb in /usr/lib/cups/backend.
