How to get Static Libraries for BLAS and LAPACK

Hello,

So far I used Fedora, Puppy and Ubuntu for Linux. I like the control Arch gives the user over their system build.
I have installed blas and lapack from extras. But I do not have the static libraries required for compiling scalapack and mumps.
As I a getting familiar with the Arch way, I would appreciate help from the members for the forum.
