[Solved] Wifi Button Screws Up Wireless

Sorry I didnt know how to title this since it deals with two different issues. Im using the acpi-eeepc-generic scripts from the AUR

1. If the wifi is on and I press fn+f2 it will pop up a notification box that says the wifi is on when its actually off and vice versa
2. After the initial press the wifi no longer works no matter how many times i press it, I tried to bring it up manually via sudo ifconfig wlan0 up and it says something like "undefined error 132"

I assume you are using an eeepc. The wifi toggle works for me on my 1005HA using this trick:

If you use another model, please provide mor info smile

Just so you know, the "siocsifflags unknown error 132" is most likely because the wifi is off through the hardware switch. That is, you have to turn it back on using the Fn+f2 (or some equivalent way) to use ifconfig.

So I think you have one issue - your first one.
