Pentium M Optimized Kernel

I have a Laptop with Arch on it that is using the generic kernel right now.  I have never done a custom kernel before and was wondering if it's really worth it?  My CPUFreq works fine and so does my undervolt, will I see much of a speed increase?

Re: Pentium M Optimized Kernel

Perhaps you'd like to try out the [Zen kernel].

Re: Pentium M Optimized Kernel

when i first got my phenom II x4, i saw a huge difference in multithreaded performance by building a custom zen kernel, single threaded performance was still the same. i don't see the same difference anymore though with newer kernels, i still use the zen kernel though, my config is already made, so its not hard to update it, and it only takes 3 minutes to build on this monster, lol.

give it a try, as mentioned, its fun anyway wink
