If you're using Thunar, you need to use an external program to set the desktop wallpaper since Thunar does not provide this functionality. Personally I use nitrogen, but feh is also a popular option.
The same goes for desktop icons. If you want desktop icons, you can use PcmanFM, ROX, or iDesk
I'm afraid I can't help you with your third issue

But why Thunar under LXDE? what is about PC file manager from LXDE self?

@sHyLoCk
Do you have anything against PCmanFM or you just state the fact that it is possible to use both together?

Pcmanfm do not yet have trash functionality.
So it is better to use thunar as your fm.

And what is so interesting in your removed files or inside your home Trash?

using Thunar under LXDE is loking like using Moskovitch Machine inside Mercedes/Benz. it make no sens really. LXDE and PCmanFM working perfect and under LXDE you can change the wallpaper ...etc very fine. what you have in GNOME, XFCE or KDE as well.
Besides PCmanFM have Tab option && very powerfully Preferences Option, but Thunar doesn't.

The Desktop/applications icons are in
/usr/share/applications
copy what you want to your Desktop.

Yes you assumed right, I was stating both can be used for specific tasks. I personally use Thunar in compiz and the *boxes.

Hey guys,
Cheers Robrene i will try those packages.
Yeah coz the computer is not for me, it's for a friend that have a older laptop to probably can't run KDE 4 well. My friend is not great with computers PCManFM is fine but as bharani pointed out there is no trash. I saw some solutions but it seemed easy to just install thunar.
But cheers for the app icon solutions Sia.
Is anyone successfully using Shaman ?

shaman never worked for me when I used kde/kdemod. it's better if you alias pacman -Syu for your friend. You could also check out packer by bruneig, it combines AUR as well, much faster than yaourt. I guess you were looking for a GUI to pacman, I have no idea about it, maybe check out gtkpacman? Has quite a lot of votes.
