Several plugins disappear from Firefox [SOLVED]

Hello,

Firefox suddenly began to complain about not having appropriate plugins, which have worked flawlessly long ago. The functionality was lost during a session, I just refreshed a site containing streaming video which was played well before refreshing. The Tools menu > Add-ons > Plugins window shows my few working plugins well, the lost ones are not shown like they've never existed. The about:plugins output corresponds to this. As far as I can remember, the incident happened about at the time I was trying to install Microsoft Silverlight functionality (by necessity, not by enthusiasm).

However, if I start firefox as root or as another user, plugins work as usual.

I tried every tips from the wiki, none of them helped, $MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH is set well. All the files in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ have 755 permissions or "better".

Maybe relevant: I have set up the Speed-up_Firefox_using_tmpfs hint for my user long before, it works well.

Does anybody have an idea what could have happened and how to reenable the plugins for my user?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Several plugins disappear from Firefox [SOLVED]

Ok, well, something went wrong in my ~/.mozilla/firefox. Its radical purging solved the issue. smile
