kde sound doesn't work anymore

When I boot into kde 4.3, I get a message that my sound card doesn't work. I have installed all of the alsa stuff. It worked before, so I don't know why it doesn't work now.

Let me try it. I'll be right back. Sorry about all of this. I have been using gnome my whole life with arch and just today tried KDE.

EDIT: I tried what it said. Still no luck

Try playing around with the settings in System-settings-->multimedia.

When I go to system settings > Multimedia, it always crashes. It doesn't do that with any other one in there though.

can you post results for "lsmod | grep snd" and ls "/dev/snd" ?
