Some six months ago, there was a general call for translations of the (then new) Official Installation Guide:
http://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/ … 00656.html
It took some time, but we are finally done with the German version at al.de - we have a Wiki version (https://wiki.archlinux.de/title/Offizie … -Anleitung) which is protected against further revisions (as a quasi-official document, and so on), and another version which may be fed to markdown:
https://wiki.archlinux.de/title/%C3%9Cb … -Anleitung.
Actually, markdown doesn't like some of German's special characters, you have to enforce the use of utf8, but I found some instructions on that, I just have not tried yet.
Anyway, I am interested in the current state of affairs in other language communities. I picked up some notes that here and there work was planned or well under way. But we may have some 20 different languages (a rough estimate of the most active ones), and no-one can check them all. So let use this thread to collect the relevant information.
If you are involved in translation work, please tell us about the status for your language. You may use categories like: - planned - started - under construction - almost finished - done. Please provide links, if possible.
All the best, t.
