As per the wiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Win … _Dual_Boot) I set up the following partition scheme, installing GRUB to the /boot partition:
sda1 Vista
sda2 /boot
sda3 /
sda5 swap
sda6 /home
Now, if I boot into Vista, it resets the boot flag, thereby forcing me to go to a great deal of trouble to fix it.
When I install GRUB, the options given to me are sda, sda1/2/3/5 or 6. My question:
Is sda the MBR? And if I attempt to install GRUB to sda, will I be able to access Arch and Windows correctly? That wiki article led me to believe otherwise, and I've rendered a Windows partition inaccessible once before.

Installing to sda will put grub on the MBR. This is easiest IMO because Windows refuses to live on an non-boot partition for some reason. I and many others have this setup sucessfully and pretty easily, go for it.
