So I just recently have been having issues with my wine prefixes so I decided to start fresh since they were corrupting and getting messy registries. While I was cleaning up my wine and reinstalling things I was doing an Syu and it seems that in the 1.1.37 version of Wine that I got updated to, wont let me add devices (like my cd-rom) or more specific my /mnt folder. When I hit browse and select it, winecfg freezes and I have to kill it. I haven't really found anything specific on wine bugs for this so I'm wondering if its a 1.1.37 thing or a my computer-thing.

hmmm sounds strange. Have you tried a downgrade?

Didn't have time yesterday I'll try it and see what happens. Its not a prefix thing though, I'm pretty sure it seems to be with the newest release of Wine. Terminal gives nothing when it dies either

Ok I've rolled back to 1.1.35 and it still seems to have the same issue for some unknown reason. I know in my original wine I added /mnt/iso and had no problems but for some reason when I click the /mnt folder + button she just freezes. Once again nothing shows up in terminal other than it freezes and takes maybe 20 seconds to close once I cancel it. Any thoughts?

Found it! For some reason when I tried to expand the /mnt folder tree wine would freeze and I found out that it was due to Samba, not sure why it is causing an issue but soon as I killed the samba daemon I could open that folder.
