[solved] pacman wants to upgrade from pkgrel 11 to pkgrel 8

Is this known behavior?

[ ~]$ pacman -Q xbmc
xbmc 9.11-11
[ ~]$ sudo pacman -Syu

Same results with -Syyu. I compiled and installed pkgrel 11 from abs.

Are your mirrors in sync? The latest version in the community repo is -11.

if -8 had a force option, that is the right behavior. but as lucke said, you hit in a mirror that is badly out of sync. get rid of it.

Yep the mirror hasn't synced for more than 5 days, thanks for the pointer.
I still don't get why pacman tries to update xbmc even though the the installed version number is higher.

Incidentally, as you're using the testing repo, you probably should add the community-testing repo.
