mdadm update - failed but working

I upgraded mdadm to version 3.1.1-1 today. When the system boots up I get "Assembling RAID arrays FAILED".
But looks like the arrays are assembled ok, everything else works. (Configuration files are the same as usual, raid modules specified in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf etc)

So what's with that FAILED message? Do I have to worry?

Re: mdadm update - failed but working

Hi first post cool

I have the same problem after the update. During boot the "assembling raid arrays" step fails however when I check the array after boot there are no problems and I can access it just fine hmm

Re: mdadm update - failed but working

I'm using it on multiple systems. Currently mdadm v2.6.9, but 3.1.1 seems to have hit stable.
Wondering if it is safe to upgrade... I think I'll wait a until next week, I can't afford to break my system atm.
But I dont see many other topics concerning mdadm, or people reporting here. If there aren't any reports, it often indicates it's safe to upgrade. smile

[Edit]
Seems there are people having some issues: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=90415
