I read the news that any dependents of libjpeg/libpng would require a rebuild. After the update, I noticed splashy broke (all grey screen). I tried reinstalling splashy, according to the wiki.
When rebuilding the initramfs image, I get an error:
:: Parsing hook [splashy]
ERROR: file '/usr/lib/libpng12.so.0' does not exist
ERROR: file '/usr/lib/libjpeg.so.7' does not exist
Being a newbie and all, I'm seeking advice as to what to change in /lib/initcpio/install/splashy to allow this to work. Specifically, this line:
add_file "/usr/lib/libpng12.so.0"
add_file "/usr/lib/libjpeg.so.7"
according to the new versions of libpng/libjpeg....

aah, I feel dumb I thought I did enough research before posting a new thread.
Thanks, from now on I'll check aur pages for support for my unsupported packages
EDIT: initramfs built fine, but now the actual splash was all grey. I'll post at the aur page.
