ext4-dio-unwr?

Can anyone tell me what "[ext4-dio-unwr]" is doing in my proccess? There appears to be 3-4 of them, they just suddenly appeared. I googled them, but not much results.

I don't know what to tell you about them, but if you're curious, I'm running ext4 with KDE, and have those processes too.

same here. I have to of them. If they don't have info, i supposed  they don't be important, for the end user.

Re: ext4-dio-unwr?

Those are directIO unwritten workqueue threads. They were probably added in a recent kernel upgrade in response to concern over fsync().
