reflector and archlinux.de MirrorStatus missing Repos (SOLVED)

Just wondering why a common Repo I use regularly can no longer be found by reflector. The repo in question is:

According to Xyne's page he is using https://www.archlinux.de/?page=MirrorStatusReflector but that repo is no longer on that page but yet can still be found (synced and working) on this page: http://users.archlinux.de/~gerbra/mirrorcheck.html. Is there a reason for this or possibly a bug with reflector or archlinux.de? It's not an issue manually fixing it but that kinda defeats the ideal behind reflector by doing so. I though I might post it up here first before reporting a bug in case there was an explanation given at some point for this. No sense in wasting Xyne's time if there was.

In solving a problem of this sort, the grand thing is to be able to reason backward. That is a very useful accomplishment, and a very easy one, but people do not practice it much. In the everyday affairs of life it is more useful to reason forward, and so the other comes to be neglected. There are fifty who can reason synthetically for one who can reason analytically.  --Sherlock Holmes

Re: reflector and archlinux.de MirrorStatus missing Repos (SOLVED)

I believe it was removed from the mirror list because it was broken or shut down.

I thought it might be something like that. I do remember it being down for quite a while so that would make sense.

Thank you for the reply. I will marked it as solved then.

Re: reflector and archlinux.de MirrorStatus missing Repos (SOLVED)

Gerbra's page has not been updated for quite a long time now. He seems somehow "missing". The MirrorStatus page at archlinux.de is automatically updated using our main mirrorlist. So if a working mirror is missing one should file a report and ask for inclusion in our mirrorlist. (that should usually be done by the admin of that mirror)

Re: reflector and archlinux.de MirrorStatus missing Repos (SOLVED)

I remember reading a thread where someone mentioned that unixheads intended to stop mirroring arch as kernel.org is now doing so. Perhaps someone in charge responded to that report.
