EEEPC 1005HA Numpad & Touchpad especial features

Hi! This is my first post... and I am new to Arch too.

I've recently purchased an Asus EEE PC 1005HA-H, removed Win7 Starter and installed a fresh Arch copy.

1) Does the blue numbers conforming the numpad can be accessed directly with the Fn key? No mater how many times I hit ScrollLock, they are always in scroll mode. I can only use the numbers when in NumLock mode (but without need of the Fn key).

2) Are the zooming and rotating capabilities of the touchpad implemented in any way?

Many thanks in advance.

1) the numbers on my 1005ha work with shift+fn, or by holding fn and pressing insert/numlock
2) I don't think so

For question 2: No, I have not yet found directions to make the touchpad do zooming (I assume here you are referring to "multitouch"). I believe the driver just doesn't support that feature yet. Hopefully a future version of the driver will support it.

2 finger and circular scrolling works though. My 1005HA has 2 finger and circular scrolling working using directions found here:

Re: EEEPC 1005HA Numpad & Touchpad especial features

After a fresh reboot:
(in a virtual console)

Fn+j    --> behaves like END
Fn+0   --> prints "/"

Shift+Fn+ anything --> the same as before

Then, I pressed Fn+Insert (NumLK):

j   --> prints "1"
0  --> prints "/"
Fn+j    --> prints "1"
Shift+Fn+j --> prints "1"

So, as you can see... I can't reach the numbers with "Fn+uiojkl"... I need to turn Numlock on but then there is no need of the Fn key.

Inside Xorg, everithing works as barzam said.

After I followed that instructions, I can no longer made a click with a single tap. Weird.

Single tap still works for me. If it's any help, here's the entries in my /etc/hal/fdi/policy/11-x11-synaptics.fdi file
