xterm works, term emulators not

I can load and use xterm and aterm only. terminal, lxterminal, konsole and mrxvt are without prompt and not accepting typing. What can cause this situation? WM doesn't matter... I 've been using bash without any changes... I may swept out someting from my home directory... Please, kick me right way! Thanks!

Added: I have devpts mounted and recognized. Bash profile seems OK. How terminals recognize user profile and how are pseudo-ttys being invoked?

just a shot in the blue and maybe completely wrong track but forgetting to recompile cairo-lcd from AUR after libjpeg update caused lots of GUI programs to not start any more for me... xfce4-terminal was among them.
