hello folks
i got a brand new PC armed by myself,
i got a little problem when i was checking he amount of ram with "lshw" it says that i got 1755 MB when i bought a 2 GB memory, i don' think that the memory has a problem, why arch doesn't recognize my ram?
here is the output of lshw

You should reconsider adding more RAM (at least 4 GB, that means +2) and 64bit Arch

yeah, it would be nice but my system never gets over the 800 Mb in ram, also i'm in arch 64
why people use arch 32 even knowing that they got x86_64 cpus? what are they scare of?
sorry for my english :S

The fear of the unknown, that's what it is.

As for 4 GB RAM, it could be a nice investment right now

I've always thought, that the memory is smaller because some devil words like "alocating" "locating" etc... And I thought that graphic card...
Oh yes, that gives sense... But I don't believe, that my Intel 4500MHD card "eats" only 0,1 GB even I am using KWin and KDE... I have 64 bit (I know it makes some counting faster and some slower, when I do fractal graphics, does using of 64 system making the rendering faster) and 3 GB RAM (2048 + 1024MB) and the system shows me only 2,9 GB.
Thanks for the GNU/Linux. EDIT:Thanks for the GNU/Linux, Linux guru, for the manuals and wikis.
