is there a way to get windows' shadows?

I have
  [shadow]
  real_blur=false
  offset=0                                                                   
  radius=14
  sigma=7
  color=#000000
  alpha=0.6
in ~/.config/cairo-compmgr/ccm-screen-0.conf but windows have no shadows...

Okay I got it, I had to pass --enable-glitz to configure. I've built it with the glitz backend, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work lol.

I seem to be having the same issue. Took me a while to get cairo-glitz installed. Then I was able to get cairo-compmgr-glitz installed with --enable-glitz. However, when I'm using the OpenGL backend it crashes for me as well.

Does anyone have any ideas?

what happened to this package, the new cairo-compmgr wont allow glitz as a backend for opengl anymore
