Hi, I'm using DMenu as an additional launcher in OpenBox, and would like it to appear in the middle of the screen instead of the top/bottom. I know that that used to be the default, but now it displays at the top by default with a switch to make it appear at the bottom.
Does anyone know if there's a way to get back to the "old" style?

Check the wiki, there is a patch for dmenu there,
you can just take what you need from the patch,
I mean what is relative to the -y option.

Couldn't find it in the wiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dmenu), but the vertical patch from AUR should do the trick. I'll try that.
Thanks anyway

I know this is an old thread. But looking for the same thing.
How to center vertically Dmenu?
I can't seem to find a patch or the right option if that still exists?
Edit: The solution is to install dmenu-xyw-mouse-msel from AUR and use the flags like this:
dmenu_run -y <half your screen height>Last edited by juego (2018-09-09 17:34:40)

The original poster on this thread has not been on the forums for over a year. I am going to close this thread now.
Juego, As you point out, this is a 7 year old thread. Go ahead and start a new thread that you will own. Feel free to link back to this thread as you see fit.
Thanks.
