Cannot install xorg Get error about a conflict with e2fsprogs?

IIRC, I got this error message:

:: util-linux-ng conflicts with e2fsprogs. Remove e2fsprogs? [Y/n] y
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)

And this message, too:

cryptsetup: requires e2fsprogs

I'm stuck. mad

Looks like I'm gonna reformat again!

Re: Cannot install xorg Get error about a conflict with e2fsprogs?

You're reformatting because of package dependency issues? That might just be a little bit exaggerated.

Try pacman -Syy, then try again. If the problem persists, check that you have the latest versions of e2fsprogs and util-linux-ng installed.

Good ideas do not need lots of lies told about them in order to gain public acceptance.

not really, just do pacman -Syu

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Fixed it, for some reason, pacman didn't do a full update. Was wondering why I didn't see much being updated.

Syu did the trick.
