Hello everyone,
Is there a stable way to mount the BeOS filesystem used by haiku OS under Linux? I found a few experimental ways but the information seems outdated and only supports the 2.2 kernel, ideas?

sudo mount /dev/<partition> /media/<place> -t befs -o iolocalset=utf8
suport has been in the linux kernel since 2.4 apparently, though the page I got this from said it was readonly. However, that was from 2006, so..
from http://www.freelists.org/post/haiku/Mou … ux-distros (i.e. the first google result for 'mount befs linux')
Consistency is not a virtue.

Alright, I'll try it when I get home - I did a Google search and I didn't find a whole lot. However, I am at work and I couldn't access some web sites. All it needs to be is readonly since I am just retieving some data from Haiku as I don't really trust aphla software.
Thanks,

I know, this is very old thread, but how to format drive with befs?

And this isn't an Arch, or even a GNU/LINUX question....
