[Solved] gnome-mplayer can't find libvdpau

Hi,

after the latest mplayer / gnome-mplayer updates, every time I start playing a video with gnome-mplayer an error message pop-ups:

Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Then the video is played flawlessy.

I've got an Intel video card but for some reason I also have libvdpau installed on my system.
What should I do in order to get rid of that annoying message?

Thanks! smile

just set in preferences a video output xv,gl,gl2

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Hello guys,

where do I have to set this preference?

In ~/.mplayer/config ?

Could you please give an example.

Thank you

I'll go with xv!

Just for the others. Basically you just have to put vo=xv into your ~/.mplayer/config. That's all.
