Repeating kernel panics

Hi there.
Yesterday about at the same time I had a first kernel panic about 1-2 min after gnome loaded (my caps-lock and scroll-lock blinked).
Today during the boot I had a kernel panic after the line "Doing something with ACPI" - there was a long message and after 30 (60?) seconds the pc rebooted. I dug all the logs I have and couldn't fine anything related, if you could point me to a specific log to look at would be nice.

Ok one more update.
Kernel panic occurs only first time I boot the pc. I.E. I woke up today, turned the pc on and got kernel panic. No matter how much times Il reboot today, or even if I power down the pc it wont happen anymore. Next panic will be tomorrow after Ill turn the pc (after night that it was off). I know it sounds strange but this is the behavior.   
Now the error:
During boot looks like this:

a lot of sutff.

The title of the panic says Hardware Error
There is a lot info, with hexadecimal numbers, and a stack-trace in the end, but I was able to retrieve only few line (well after 30s it will reboot)

................

Where dots represent a lot of info, and question marks a words that I probably missed.

I wouldn't worry that much if it was after I changed the hardware, or installed some new kernel, but i DIDN'T sad:( Its just happend 4-5days ago and keeps happening every day, once a day.

Any help please?

It does sound like a hardware problem, there could be something wrong with your motherboard or BIOS not handling "cold boot".

When I boot up my PC after it has been turned off for several hours, I get lots of memory errors in Memtest+ 4.0. Rebooting doesn't help, shutting down and restarting does. I learned about those errors the hard way; Arch had segfaults, Windows got corrupted etc. BIOS updates haven't fixed this, so "halt" is my default grub option hmm

I think the least you could do is try Memtest, if there are errors you know it is a hardware error.

I have the feeling that it might be a CPU fan error. I had some problems with this fan already few years ago. The PC is old, the FAN as well.

I might think that after a cold night, its not fast enough to cool the CPU well. I never had such problem during summer (I assume) only during winter as winters are pretty cold here, so the fan might "think" that cpu is cooled well, but the kernel (?) doesnt think like this.

I had similar problem but it was before the OS was booted, the BIOS told me that overclock failed (I never did overclock!).

If it was a hardware failure (like ram, mb or something else) I suppose I could reproduce the error everytime I boot my pc, and this is not true.

After cleaning the fan a mounting it back to the cpu I got a notice instead of kernel panic:

CPU0: CPU Temperature above threshold, CPU clock trotted. 
CPU1: CPU Temperature above threshold, CPU clock trotted.

I changed my cooling, now the cpu is cooled ok (60C max), but I still had a panic, I don't know the origin of the panic, it was during GNOME usage. I suspect that chromium may cause the panics, or maybe the nvidia driver.
I also made a full update of all the available updates.

I think he means capacitor. See: http://www.badcaps.net/ which has some info on identifying them (not always possible).

I'm 99.9% sure that I dont have bad capacitors. As the info says there might be random crashes and freezes, mine are not that random.
I'm running memtest86+ now, when back from work Ill check the results.

After almost 12 hours of memtest, with 22 passes and 0 fails, with a new cooling fan on the CPU, and sure for 99.9% that I don't have bad capacitors, I still experience random lockups with caps lock and scroll lock blinking, and pc reboots automatically after 30s (default reboot time after kernel panic), I can conclude only one thing: Its wither the nvidia driver or the kernel. Using windows now to isolate the problem.
