Hi, I did a large upgrade a day or two ago and ran out of space and the install didn't work. After a reboot X wouldn't start but reinstalling xorg fixed it. Most Apps are back and working but Thunderbird and Firefox are segfaulting even after doing a reinstall.
I was wondering if there is a way to completely purge the install because Thunderbird loads and has my old settings there even after a reinstall. Its just after a few clicks that the program closes. Firefox doesn't load at all.
Or is there another option as to finding out what is wrong? or suggestions? Thanks.

You can destroy all old settings of both by deleting their respective hidden directories in your home. To get rid of Firefox's stuff for instance:
rm -rf .mozillaI don't know where thunderbird stores its stuff, but it will be similar.

Yeah well I mentioned the settings being there because I figure the pacman reinstall isn't 'purging' all the old libs/files/settings etc so I was wondering if there is a better way to go about removing an application completely as something is corrupt and I'm not sure what.
