I dont know if anyone here has tried running multiple kernels at one time {one on tty1 and another on tty2} but i am wondering if in theory (or) actuality if it can be done and how i would go about doing it i scanned through the forum and couldnt find any mention of someone trying or wondering if someone could get back to me on this i would greatly appreciate it. big_smile

Re: Running multiple Kernels

Mh, you might have a look at user mode linux or virtualisation.

Re: Running multiple Kernels

hmm sounds interesting and ive done it with Vbox and yes that works but i was just wondering if there is another way to do it without the virt. i guess ill probably look into usermode but from my understanding that is similar to Virt without actually being Virt.

If anyone has more ideas i am open to Suggestions and hope to hear from you all soon smile

"Separate kernels means separate operating systems.

You definitely want to use virtualization.

Try QEMU or VirtualBox...

Thanks to Wuischke and Android both - a relative told me i could ask but he was pretty sure that Virt was the only way to do so so i guess he was right thanks to you both.

will post if i have anymore questions or concerns smile
