Linux and live music sessions

is there any of you making live music with linux? i mean, i'm using ableton live under windows, but obviously i don't want to use windows anymore big_smile

i tried with lmms, but it's more of a fruity loops i guess, than a real live session software big_smile

which softwares do you use? do you also use any controller? big_smile

thanks guys, any hint or suggestion will be really appreciated

Re: Linux and live music sessions

I've heard good things about Aldrin, which is a Buzz Tracker clone.

I believe that you can control things in it through your MIDI inputs in a similar fashion to the way you would with NI Reaktor.

(By the way, their page is a big Flash mess... It was painful to have to sit and wait for it to load for 30+ seconds just so that I could verify that I meant Reaktor and not something else.)

Re: Linux and live music sessions

This is Linux, everything's beta =-)

Give it a try, there are some programs that are rock solid even though they're classified as being in the alpha stage.
