ne1 have an excellent bash web site WITH plenty of examples?
I know absolutely NOTHING about bash or what it can do; can barely edit .bashrc and it took me 30 minutes just to realize I had nano installed to even edit the file. I know the power of the comment '#' but dat's about it.

I know I can google this, but I am new and looking for a personal recommendation from someone, you get it? It is of no technical benefit for me to search through a thousand crappy web sites to find a good resource, not to mention, at this point, being a n00b, I would even know what a "good" bash resource would look like.

This is a pretty nice absolute Unix basics tutorial:
http://freeengineer.org/learnUNIXin10minutes.html
Seemingly it's from years past, from times we didn't have such "nice" graphical interfaces, so it's actually quite a nice introduction to the shell at the same time.
This list of 10 Unix tutorials seems to be very good (also includes the link i gave above) :

you're doing it wrong
@gangelo: while I know it's not a site, the bash man page is pretty useful; you might also want to look at linux gazette, there are several examples of bash scripts there
