Corrupted Pacman DB

Hello:

I'm pretty sure my pacman database has some problems, since when doing pacman -Syu, i get some errors, first:

error: could not extract shadow-4.1.4.2-1/depends ((Empty error message))
error: failed to update core (unexpected system error)

And this error multiple times:

error: could not open file /var/lib/pacman/sync/core/shadow-4.1.4.2-1/desc: No such file or directory

Updating works, but core updates are ignored. Also, /var/lib/pacman/sync/core/shadow-4.1.4.2-1/depends contains the following:

^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@

Which i don't think is right, any ideas on how to fix the database? Thanks!

Re: Corrupted Pacman DB

Try renaming (or removing) the dirs in /var/lib/pacman/sync and then "pacman -Syy" to force a refresh of the sync DB.

Edit: and maybe change your mirror if it's not synced recently.

Re: Corrupted Pacman DB

That didn't help, but i figured out that i had wget as a XferCommand, and it was producing the problem. Commenting the line solved the problem. Thanks anyway!
