awesome 3 help

hey ive been trying to get awesome 3 to work on arch linux but when i typed startx i ended up getting this error (in the [ic) i edited the .xinitrc file and unchecked start awesome; what do i do?

Does X work in other WMs? Does it make any difference if you remove the empty spaces in front of "exec"?

WOW I REMOVED A SPACE AND IT WORKED
EDIT: my mouse isnt working in it

Does the mouse work at all? Have you tried it in other WMs?

yes it works correctly in other vms
