I downloaded some widgets for plasma(kde 4.4) which is based on python, but when running them it shows "Could not create a python script engine" in the widget window.
I have pyqt and pyqt3 both installed. What am I missing here?

I have kdebase-workspace fully installed, I have to check if plasma-scriptengine-python is installed or not when I get back home.
Offline
sudo pacman -S plasma-scriptengine-python
plasma-scriptengine-python package not found, searching for group...
error: 'plasma-scriptengine-python': not found in sync db
is it any package? or do i have to install something else?

It should come with kdebase-workspace.
http://packages.debian.org/testing/kde/ … ine-python
Can you do this:
whereis plasma-scriptengine-python
If that doesn't work, can you try and find where kdebase-workspace is installed and see if it is in there

Hi,
I have a similar problem. whereis states that it is installed, but I cannot get Dropbox to work. I get an error message similar to the one described above.
Cheers,
Scott

I got the same exact problem. I installed kdebindings-python and it didnt work.
Installing kdebindings-python-common and kdebindngs-python2 solved the problem for me.
So if anyone struggles with it again, this will help.
