I don't understand why can't I make an update of the database. When I type updatedb I get the following message:
warning: updatedb: could not open database:
/var/lib/slocate/slocate.db: No such file or directory
warning: updatedb: Could not find the group: slocate in the /etc/group file.
fatal error: This is a result of the group missing or a corrupted group file.
And where were all the sportsmen who always pulled you though?
They're all resting down in Cornwall
writing up their memoirs for a paper-back edition
of the Boy Scout Manual.

you can search through this forum, this is a bug, it's well known.
