problem with arch(pacman)

hello all
i just want to know that is there any problem with arch(pacman) because when i update any software or system it says the package is corrupted or install new one then the same error is out.

 pacman -Syu

i have this problem from last 2-3 months. i googled and i found that change the mirror(i tried all most all ) and update pacman & remove cache. but the problem is still same.
i don't know what to do?

Re: problem with arch(pacman)

Reading the front-page news would be a starting point.I doubt you are having "this" problem from last 2-3months as kde got updated 2 days ago.
It seems like you haven't updated your system in a long time either. Remove the corrupted packages:

 rm /var/cache/pacman/pkg/*.part

Use a different mirror. Then run:

pacman -Syy

before doing anything else.

Re: problem with arch(pacman)

Same problem here, but i don't use KDE ( i use fluxbox with a few kde apps , k3b, qtcreatro,qgit ecc ) and i can't do system update because i get the following:

root@ deathstar ~# pacman -Syu
:: Synchronizing package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
:: Replace kdelibs-experimental with extra/kdelibs? [Y/n] n
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: kdelibs: requires phonon

Why can't i update system without "phonon"?
If i try to install phonon it tells me to remove Qt which i DO NOT WANT TO REMOVE

Re: problem with arch(pacman)

Please read the wiki and the announcement on archlinux.org. It's a pacman issue, as Pierre has said, on this dependency problem. pacman -Su --adeps qt, solves that.
