Any ideas?

Re: bin32-skype seg fault

If you are using ext4 that may be your propblem.
May be you need to remove all of the skype files and re install..
Just a sujestion, not a solution ok...

Re: bin32-skype seg fault

Fully up-to-date system as of yesterday and skype is working just fine. Filesystem shouldn't matter I would suspect the config files, just rename the .Skype folder and start skype again.

In any case my setup is like this (among other partitions)
/ ext4
/home ext3

Re: bin32-skype seg fault

I find skype on linux to be a bloody nuisance, if I didn't have to use it for work I probably wouldn't bother. Chances are you may need to upgrade a support package as something it has compiled against has changed.  If you have yaourt installed, run

yaourt -Syu --aur

and it will check aur to see if any of the lib32 packages you have installed from there are out of date.   You will probably find a couple.

Re: bin32-skype seg fault

The problem is closely related to settings - if you choose gtk+ in appereance style it will continue segfaulting. Clearlooks and native qt styles work fine...

As a temporary fix you can remove ~/.Skype (or rename it) - it will fallback to Clearlooks and start working again.
