Pidgin Issues with AIM Chat Rooms

Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong forum I am not sure what forum would be the correct one to post this in. Anyways, I have had this issue for some time now on a variety of distros and the recent upgrade has not fixed it for me. Whenever I connect to an AIM chat room, I get disconnected within 15 minutes and then must restart pidgin in order to join chats again. I am using the i686 version of Arch. I was wondering if there is any solution or work around to this problem as of yet?

Re: Pidgin Issues with AIM Chat Rooms

Mess around with your gtk+ themes with pidgin.. I know for a fact I had an issue (this was on Winblows 7 tho..) where if I used a certain gtk+ theme.. if i tried to initiate a file xfer either sending or receiving Pidgin would crash. If that doesnt help you could be missing  a plugin or a setting is wrong

Re: Pidgin Issues with AIM Chat Rooms

I will try messing around with that stuff but I do not think that is the issue, Pidgin doesn't crash, it just boots me out of the AIM chat rooms and I can't connect to them again until I restart Pidgin, everything else (regular AIM convos, myspace, IRC etc...) work fine.
