floppy led won't turn off!

Hi all, today i noticed a very strange thing,
If timeout in menu.lst is not high enough, my floppy-driver led stays on until mount a floppy disk.
grub 0.97-16, kernel26 2.6.32.8-1

Do anyone knows why?

Hi, I had the same problem some times ago (however I never tried to increase timeout, so I can't tell whether it would have had any effect). As far as I remember, the phenomenon was related to some kernel upgrade (but at the moment I still use kernel26 2.6.29.1-4 for some other reasons). I "solved" it with some duck tape just not to see the light until I realized it is not needed anymore, so I don't really remember what exactly solved it and when, but I remember that I had made some floppy drive related changes in the BIOS (maybe boot order).

Ok, maybe that was not very helpful, but who knows.
