After a fresh install of arch 0.7 (today) on my internet, music & movie PC, my normal user is denied 3D.
This is the error message I get : Error: Could not open /dev/nvidiactl because the permissions
are too resticitive. Please see the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
section of /usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0/README for steps
to correct.
I have installed arch on this PC 4-5 times after discovering this amazing distro and this is the first time this has happened, I really do not need 3D on this machine, but it is annoying and I like those GL screensavers .
I have read the README, but could not see any obvious solution, (it could be me drinking beer and painting my living room roof ATM. )
If anyone know how to fix this, please help.
Thanks.

It's due to the latest udev update, which seem to have changed rules a bit. Just add your user to the video group (gpasswd -a user_name video). Remember to relogin in order to make this change active.

Ah.
Thanks alot lucke, that did the trick (I was worried that the toxic fumes and alcohol was getting at me 8) ).
As a side note, I had to do a reboot as logging out and in was not enough in my case.

Hmm, beer and paint fumes. Sounds like a party to me!
