Cannot generate sysinfo for iphone

Hey,

I have got an iPhone 3gs 16gigs with firmware 3.1.3 and I followed the instruction on the following page:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/IPo … one_OS_3.x

And I can mount my iPhone, but I cannot generate a sysinfo file. I have my iphone mounted at ~/ipod and its serial is:

7dd218572508af3c3a7d71a4fd2eefbd53819f22

I checked the serial on iTunes, and it is the correct one.

I also have set the chmod of ~/ipod at 777 and created the directory ~/ipod/iTunes_Control/Device
Now when I run the following command:

ipod-read-sysinfo-extended 7dd218572508af3c3a7d71a4fd2eefbd53819f22 ~/ipod/

I get:

Couldn't read xml sysinfo from 7dd218572508af3c3a7d71a4fd2eefbd53819f22

I tried sudoing the ipod-read-sysinfo-extended, still doesn't work.

Also, I don't know if it helps, but I have already transfered one song with an actual iTunes installation on Windows.

Does anyone have any idea how to make my iPhone work?

Cheers,

Arcaon

P.S. This is my first post, and I'm sorry it's a question and not an answer... But hello to everyone smile

Did you ever see anything about this?  I'm stuck at the same place.

Re: Cannot generate sysinfo for iphone

sry guys i just forgot about this! But the answer is *drumssolo* ... we all failed to verify that libgpod-git was actually installed! smile With all the output of yaourt we probably all missed that libgpod-git is not installed, because of stable libgpod already is on the system. So

yaourt -Rdn libgpod && yaourt -S libgpod-git

does the trick, at least for me.
