Hello, can anyone does me a favor?
Recently, my friend and I had a fresh install from archlinux netinstall cd 2009.08 on Vbox.
After login and had anything ready, we begin installing for xorg.
But this message showed up at the time we typed in pacman -S xorg
error: failed to retrieving file 'xorg-font-alias-any' from ftp.tku.edu.tw :
requested range was not satisfiable
It seems that this package is missing or something else, but xorg-server has a dependency with it.
What can we do under this situation?
I have strong will to achieve it!
Sorry for my poor english.

do pacman -Syu first and then pacman -S xorg. you have this problem because the database is to old and it tries to fetch and old package version.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Thx for ur answering.
But I have pacman -Syu && pacman-optimize before that action.
And I have also install other xorg stuffs, such as xf86-video-evdev, xorg-font-100dpi, anything on list but this font-alias pkg, it still happens.
Thx for ur time again.

Thx a lot.
Since I choose wget as the backend of pacman, it's clear!
Thank you very much.
