I installed Arch on VmWare Workstation 7 on Windows7 Ultimate 32-bit, used the wiki to go through the install, though I can't seem to get an internet connection.
The install is using NAT, so it should be able to use my existing connection to download packages, but I can't get it to work.
I went to the Network and Sharing center, checked properties and found that my wireless connection wasn't sharing. I thought it might be a good idea to turn that on, so I did. No change.
I tried a simple
pacman --sync --refresh
But I can't get a connection.
I checked the pacman.d/mirrorlist, the mirrors for my country have been uncommented. The error message says it's a "resolver error" or something.
Reason I'm doing it on VmWare is because I want to get the install right before I try a dual boot.
