I have a trouble with my on-board microphone, it doesn't work for me. Second microphone, a jack, works fine but in KMix it is shown as "Capture" with an icon of an on-board mic... There is a second microphone "Digital" with a jack icon...
So I am confused of it...

I notice Capture is muted in your amixer output ('... [off]'). Do $(amixer set Capture on) to unmute it.

Thank you for you advice, the parameter "on" didn't help me, so I looked into the man pages and tried:
amixer set Capture capand it works now, thank you very much :-)
