Use boot cd to access hard drive

This has probably already been answered, so I did try searching for it but couldn't find a thing. Anyway, I screwed up lilo somehow and I need to access the hard drive. Is there a way to do this with the boot cd? I know this should be simple, but I wasn't able to figure it out. Maybe I should have just posted in the newbie section...

Here's the error:

ArchEBDA is big; kernel setup stack overlaps LILO second stage.

Re: Use boot cd to access hard drive

Thanks.

But I noticed that the boot cd says to use 'arch root=/dev/...' when that does nothing. Only 'vmlinuz root=/dev/...' works. Some one should change that.
