Infinite Udev Event processing with latest Nvidia

Hey there!

Yesterday I've updated the nvidia drivers to the latest version 195.36 (I'm on a x86_64 system) and, on reboot, the computer hanged while Processing UDev events. I have since been able to log back into a maintenance console (or what you guys call it) by using the break=yes parameter on boot, mount the root filesystem and edit the rc.conf so that it didn't autoload modules.

After rebooting once again (run level 3 since I figured X wouldn't work without loading some specific modules, mainly, the nvidia ones), everything went fine and I proceeded to downgrade nvidia, nvidia-utils and lib32-nvidia-utils to the previous version (190.53). After yet another reboot, the pc booted up fine and everything else appears to be working fine.

I wonder if anyone else experienced a similar issue and was able to determine the cause of the problem? I couldn't find anything in the logs and I just assumed it was a problem with the recent nvidia update (afterall, I doubt the gparted update could break my system tongue) but as of date I seem to be the only one affected...

Oh and I should mention I have 2 Nvidia 7600GS connected through SLI
