Hello
Just yesterday I installed Arch on my Acer Aspire One A150. It works fine and i've even got wlan0 up with standard ath5k drivers but there's one strange issue. After 20-30 mins it disconnects and on reconnection wicd tells me that it was "unable to obtain ip address". After rebooting system it connects normally and later repeats the same. I've disabled eth0 - wlan0 modules and network daemon in rc.conf and added wicd daemon hoping this will solve the problem but it had no result. I need some help. please
sorry for my terrible English
best regards from Greece

Try (as root)
# modprobe ath5k -r
# modprobe ath5k
Probably that will save you from rebooting. I don't have a solution though. There are many threads on this topc but I couldn't find a solution for myself (iwl3945)
EDIT: Sorry I didn't see it disconnects afte 20-30 minutes. That sucks, yeah. Try a forum search if you haven't. I was thinking of there maybe being the possibility of adding a (post-)connection script to wicd for the modprobe.

This thread might help: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=89676
Add a script to /etc/wicd/scripts/preconnect/

Thank you, I'll try this and I'll report if it solved the problem.
Basically I had to look what dmesg says about these strange disonnections but I forgot it, shame on me

yes it seems to be solved... (well I hope the bug will be fixed but for now this solution is not so bad)
