canon usb printer + cups 1.4.2 + inkblot

Hi,

I have a Canon IP4300 usb printer. Cups 1.4.2 didn't recognize it without usblp module blacklisted. I'd like to use inkblot for monitoring ink levels, but here is come the Catch-22, inkblot doesn't work without usblp module loaded.
I understand that with cups 1.3 there's no issue with usblp. My question is, where can I get cups 1.3 for arch and how should I downgrade? Just simply uninstall current cups and install 1.3? Or is there a better way to solve my problem?

Well you could use my package: cups-usblp http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35029 which disable the new usblib backend system.
